Penang International Dragon Boat Regatta

The Penang International Dragon Boat Festival has been a part of the state’s cultural heritage for 39 years. The annual boat race attracts thousands of residents, tourists and participants from around South East Asia including Singapore, Hong Kong and China to compete against each other in colourful traditional boats accompanied by drum beats.

St Pedro Feast

29 June – 1 July 2019

The Fiesta San Pedro commemorates the Feast Day of St Peter, the patron saint of the shermen; the trade the Portuguese were traditionally steeped in. The official day for the Fiesta San Pedro is June 29, however the festivities run for a few days, which has been running for the last 67 years, highlighting the traditional signicance of the shing trade to this seaside community.
