Holidaying in Bali as a family with kids in tow? There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants to be explored on this island, and we’re sharing a few unique ones that will definitely make dining a fun activity for everyone in the family while dad and mom get some undisturbed meal time.
Dinner, fun, and carnival games at Shooters Bali
Decked out in a blue, red, and white décor, Shooters Bali gives off carnival vibes and is every kids’ (and adults’) dream come true! This park-style café serves up typical carnival food like hotdogs, popcorn, and cotton candy, as well as mains like pasta, pizzas, and burgers.
While adults chug down an ice-cold Bintang, the kids can have their time of fun with over 10 different games like a giant Jenga and Connect 4, arcade basketball, foosball, Nintendo games, and even a Photobooth to capture your fun moments. You should not miss their main attraction – the Mini Golf while you’re there!
Parklife – a restaurant, a playground, a community space
This playground and restaurant combo located in Canggu is a kid’s dream come true. Set up with an enormous expanse of outdoor greenery, there is plenty of space for the kids to run about, and even water features and a mini beach.
Even if the weather’s not great, they will go crazy indoors at the Mad House they can bring out their inner monkeys at the huge climbing structure and the bouncing zone with inflatables. There’s also a sensory playroom for the little ones, or if the adult would like some alone time, you can opt for supervised childcare services. Beyond a restaurant and playground for families, Parklife was set up as a community space for families to gather, eat, play and enjoy.
Imagine life as a pirate for a day at Pirate Bay
Experience the fun of being a pirate for a day where kids can take part in various activities like pirate games, treasure hunt, or explore, climb treehouses and navigate fun obstacles, swings, and ropes. This oceanfront playground and restaurant sits beachfront at Nusa Dua, complete with a replica of a pirate ship, small paddleboats, and a lookout house, completing its unique pirate theme.
You’ll find a mix of Asian, Western, and Local cuisine on Pirate Bay’s menu, but more importantly, the adults will be able to indulge in a peaceful meal while the little ones fulfill their pirate dreams for the day.
The Cashew Tree – a chilled out space owned by a family with little ones
For a chill hangout, head to The Cashew Tree located at Bingin Beach where you’ll find a family-friendly atmosphere. Be nourished by a menu full of organic, locally sourced, fresh, and healthy warung-style food. Kids will have an absolute time running on the huge grass lawn, with a kid’s area filled with toys, books, craft materials, and even a pink-coloured old fishing boat for them to climb.
Come in the morning and join in their yoga classes on the lawn, or simply enjoy an uninterrupted meal, or head out for a surf while the kids are kept occupied.
Start the day having breakfast with Orangutans at the Bali Zoo
If you and your kids are huge animal lovers, you will not miss out on a trip to the Bali Zoo and greet endemic Indonesian animals like the orangutan, sun bear, and Sumatran tiger.
